To save money, get rid of Samedo. He just cannot defend his status as a wheelie bin. On the other end, there is a zero-goal threat. Some jerk might pay £20 million for him and then spend the rest of the money to bring in a striker. Silva was loaned out to free up some cash. We are one striker away from fighting for the top six, and there isn’t anything wrong with our team.
‘There is no danger of Wolves slipping into relegation trouble ‘ ?
That’s a bold statement.
The fine lines between success and failure, and the unpredictability of officials means that there is always a danger until the points are in the bag.
That’s why the 7 last gasp points against Bournemouth Tottenham and Everton are so important.
This team keeps going, if it doesn’t, bad things will happen.
The manager has made a big difference in this department.
In my humble opinion, he has a bigger winning mentality than survival mentality.
That’s what saved Bournemouth last season.
But no team can rest in the Premiership, and that includes Man City, although.in their case I think there is no danger of relegation, unless they get punished fairly for their financial misdeeds. That would see them starting next season in Division 2.
Another good article by Johnny.
Realistically we are not in a position to compete financially with the likes of City, United, Chelsea and so on and I think need to accept that. Fosun cant and wont pump billions into the club but they have put in more than anyone I can remember. They have taken us from an average championship team to a club that has recently competed in Europe. Yes, they have made mistakes along the way but we can all make the right decisions in hindsight.
I was interested in the comments on Silva. I desperately wanted him to succeed, like I do all Wolves players, but time is running out. Not sure about the fixation with Che Adams but in fairness the recruitment team have done a good job of late so I’ll trust in their judgement. He has scored goals in the premiership.
