Charles Davis NFL mock draft 2.0 for 2024: Rams and Seahawks are two of the six teams selecting quarterbacks in the top 20

It’s time for me to try my hand at projecting the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft (which will take place in Detroit from April 25–27), as pro-day season comes to an end. As with all my mocks, trades will undoubtedly play a big role when the event begins next month (will the Vikings or Raiders move up?). However, I’m keeping everyone in their current draft positions.

Though there is still plenty of time before the Bears are formally placed on the clock for the first pick by Commissioner Roger Goodell, this combination seems inevitable.

Maye’s ability to throw downfield will appeal to new general manager Adam Peters, but there are many reasons why the Commanders should select LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels instead.
With a new QB in command, first-year head coach Jerod Mayo is prepared to reinvent “The Patriot Way.” The Heisman Trophy winner of 2023 prepares to leave for Foxborough.

The Cardinals have seen Harrison’s game tape, but he declined to work out at the NFL Scouting Combine and Ohio State’s pro day. Making him the first non-quarterback off the board makes them very happy.

The fiercely competitive (and desperately needed) Nabers joins the Chargers after Keenan Allen leaves for the Bears and Mike Williams signs with the Jets. He will be welcomed with open arms by Justin Herbert.

Though I still think this is a great opportunity for Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy, the Giants choose to go with the much-needed WR1 after acquiring Drew Lock to back up Daniel Jones.
Ran Carthon, general manager of the Titans, signed wide receiver Calvin Ridley and acquired CB L’Jarius Sneed in recent weeks. He is now giving QB Will Levis more protection.

GM Terry Fontenot is aware of the Falcons’ dismal record at edge rusher in the more than ten years since John Abraham left. With this choice, he hopes to correct that scenario.

This offseason, I’ve heard Bears fans preach “QB at 1, WR at 9,” but now that Pro Bowl wideout Keenan Allen has been added, General Manager Ryan Poles is focusing on strengthening the defense and bringing in a talented pass rusher to complement last year’s trade-deadline acquisition, Montez Sweat.
