DeBoer feels that support will come for him and this team in the same way.

“I know all the fan base will be there on April 13,” DeBoer said to Fowler.

“It is going to be a lot of fun, and we would have come a long way from even where we are at right now. That is an opportunity at practice, even though it is a scrimmage type, it is a celebration as well. People want to get to see where we’re at. We are still in the early stages of putting this team together, but I hope we look different when we are practicing August 1. The first game is when we have to be ready to go, but I can’t wait for April 13.”

DeBoer looks to help the Tide end a three-year national championship drought.
