COVENTRY CITY: MATCH OFFICIALS OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCED

Appointments made for Saturday’s fixture.

The match officials for Leeds United’s Sky Bet Championship clash with Coventry City have been confirmed, with Tom Nield set to take charge at the Coventry Building Society Arena.Whilst yet to referee a game involving the Whites, Nield has took charge of 10 fixtures in this season’s Sky Bet Championship, as well as appearing in League One, League Two, the FA Cup and Carabao Cup.

Since his appointment as an EFL referee in 2017, Nield has officiated five games involving Coventry City, with the Sky Blues’ victory over QPR in September coming most recently. In the other four matches, the Midlands outfit have won just once, losing the other three.

The West Yorkshire based official notably refereed last season’s League Two Play-Off Final, which saw Carlisle United edge past Stockport County on penalties to gain promotion to the third tier.

Last time out, Nield was on League One duties as he took charge of Portsmouth’s 3-1 win away at Wycombe Wanderers.
