Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glanser said Dean Henderson was brilliant during their 1-1 draw at Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
Henderson started his first game under Glasner after Sam Johnstone was ruled out for the rest of the season. Johnstone, 31, needed elbow surgery after picking up an injury on international duty with England.
Palace signed Henderson in the summer on a five-year deal from Manchester United.
The 27-year-old came into the team but dropped out for the 1-1 draw at Everton – the game before Glasner took over.
Henderson, who was on loan at the City Ground last season, made four saves and completed four punches during the game.
“Brilliant,” said Glasner of his performance.
“He was absolutely brilliant. Several corners and free-kicks from the side, with maybe 18 heads in the six-yard box, and from nowhere he came with his hands and cleared every ball.
“It was a very difficult situation – they have a lot of tall players.
“He did brilliantly.”
The Eagles went ahead through Jean-Philippe Mateta’s sixth Premier League goal of the season in the 10th minute.
But Forest equalised in the second half when Morgan Gibbs-White had time and space on the edge of the box to send a cross into the box for Chris Wood to loop a header over Henderson.
When asked if the stopper was at fault for the goal, Glasner said: “The ball was delivered well from Gibbs-White.
“We want to have more pressure in this situation. When you concede a goal, it;s three or four mistakes that happen.
“I don’t think it’s a mistake from him. The delivery was very low – just over the head of Joachim Andersen.
“Then the goalkeeper is somewhere in between, You have to decide in 0.2 seconds.
“It was a very good header.”
