Alabama walk-0n wide receiver Sam Willoughby announced in a post to social media on Sunday that he is entering the NCAA transfer portal as a graduate transfer.
“I would like to thank the University of Alabama for the last 4 years,” Willoughby wrote in his post to X. “There’s nowhere like Tuscaloosa. I wanna thank all the teammates, coaches, and staff that make Alabama a special place. With that being said, I’m in the transfer portal as a graduate transfer.”
A native of Vestavia Hills, Ala., Willoughby joined the Crimson Tide in 2020 and was a part of the national championship team that season. He appeared in two games throughout his four-year career at Alabama with his first action coming in 2022 against ULM and would later make his final appearance against Chattanooga in 2023 on Senior Day.
The Alabama Crimson Tide season ended on Monday afternoon in a disappointing loss to the Michigan Wolverines 27-20 in overtime. The conclusion of the season brings transitions for players and coaches as decisions are made for the next season.
Alabama wide receiver Shazz Preston has announced his plans to enter the transfer portal, according to On3 Sports.
Preston just finished his redshirt freshman season. He saw action as a reserve receiver and special teamer in 10 games over the last two seasons, mostly against inferior competition.
