Real Madrid is preparing to make a player-plus-cash bid for Bayern Munich full-back Alphonso Davies.
Real Madrid are anxious to sign Alphonso Davies ahead of next season, according to Defensa Central. The 22-year-old full-back has been on Los Blancos’ radar for quite some time, and they are all set to make a move in the summer.
Davies has grown in stature since joining Bayern Munich in the winter of 2019. The Canadian international is regarded as one of the top full-backs in the world, and Real Madrid is willing to go to any length to secure his services.
Davies’ contract with Bayern continues until the summer of 2025, but considering the demand in his services, he could be on the move in the summer. Real Madrid are ready to entice him away from the German giants, and the player himself is interested in joining the Spanish club.
Florentino Perez and Jose Angel Sanchez have approached Carlo Ancelotti about signing the Bayern Munich full-back. The trio met to discuss the necessity for a new left-back. And it appears that they are interested in obtaining Davies.
Ferland Mendy has been a terrific servant for Los Blancos in recent seasons, and he was instrumental in their Champions League success last year. However, the 27-year-old has been plagued by ailments. In his absence, Real Madrid has been forced to use Eduardo Camavinga at left back.
Carlo Ancelotti wants to avoid a situation like this next season by acquiring Davies, and he is willing to include Ferland Mendy in the deal.Los Blancos are willing to pay €30 million plus the 27-year-old French international in exchange for the Bayern Munich full-back, who is valued at €70 million.
While Real Madrid has opted to re-sign Fran Garcia, they cannot fully rely on him. As a result, they want another left-back and are willing to give up Mendy in exchange for Davies.
