Birmingham City Women have confirmed that midfielder Lily Agg has signed a new contract, securing her stay at the club until at least June 2025. The new deal includes an option for an additional year.
Agg, 29, had an impressive first season with Birmingham, making 25 appearances and scoring six goals. Her performance on the pitch earned her the Supporters’ Player of the Season award.
Speaking to BluesTV, Agg said, “We’ve got a very good team, and a very good environment. The foundations that are being put in place make it a really exciting time to be here. The players are one of the biggest reasons in wanting to stay here. I’ve loved being here and the girls were so welcoming.”
Head Coach Amy Merricks praised Agg’s contribution, stating, “Lily was an important player last season, and we are delighted that she has signed a new deal with us. I’m looking forward to ensuring that Lily continues to develop and perform alongside the team.”
Agg also picked up the joint-Top Goalscorer award at Awards24, sharing the accolade with Libby Smith.
