Done Deal: Bayern Munich confirms signing of a talented young striker for the U-19s

Bayern Munich have confirmed their first signing of the summer…and it is not a coach. While the senior side is struggling with their coaching search, the campus team have quietly and efficiently secured the signing of talented young striker Noah Codjo-Evora from Ligue 2 side FC Annecy. As captured by @iMiaSanMia_en, Codjo-Evora will sign a long term contract (usually means a three-year contract) and is planned to immediately join the U-19 side. At 16, that would be a big commitment to make.

If the report turns out to be true, then Codjo-Evora will take big money signing Jonah Kusi-Asare’s place in the U-19 squad, with the gigantic Swede could very well be set to join the U-23s in the Regionalliga in the summer, as soon as he turns 17 and becomes eligible to play in that league.

The Bayern Campus sporting director, Halil Altintop, had this to say: “Noah is an exciting talent that we have monitored intensively over several months. He is a tall striker who is strong in the air, has a good understanding of the game and is also well trained athletically. “We are very pleased that he wants to take the next steps in his development with us on the campus and are very excited about his future path.”

Noah Codjo-Evora will be the latest in a long list of international recruits for Bayern’s development sides, a list that boasts several phenomenal signings in recent time. Bayern will hope the young French striker will be able to add to that list. Would it be too soon to call him the next Mathys Tel?
