DONE DEAL: Fans reacts as Kentucky adds two more prospects to its June official visitor list

Kentucky has scheduled two more official visits for the month of June. The Wildcats will play host to Muskegon (Mich.) interior offensive lineman N’Kye Wynn (6-foot-5, 255) and Covington (Ga.) Eastside linebacker Christian Gass (6-foot-2.5, 215) on the weekends of June 7 and June 21, respectively.

Wynn is slated to visit Lexington this month. He has been recruited by offensive line coach Eric Wolford. The Michigan native is rated an 86 on a scale to 100 by 247Sports, which equates to the nation’s No. 54 interior offensive lineman. He holds additional Power 5 offers from Iowa State, Pittsburgh and Kansas.

The SEC program is expected to take a big class of offensive linemen after hardly addressing the unit over the prior three recruiting classes. Offensive tackles Marques Cox and Gerald Mincey, as well as center Eli Cox are entering their final seasons of eligibility. The program could potentially lose others as well.

The latest in Kentucky football recruiting news and notes.

– Kentucky is still in the mix for Fulshear (Tex.) Katy Jordan wide receiver Andrew Marsh. UK is one of eight schools that he is still considering, along with Oklahoma, USC, Michigan, Ohio State, Texas, Texas A&M and LSU. Wide receivers coach Daikiel Shorts is the only reason that UK is in the conversation. I think the Wildcats are facing an uphill battle and they have proven to be unwilling to get into the big NIL battles thus far.

He anticipates making a decision in the neighborhood of Veteran’s Day (Nov. 11) in honor of his father. USC (June 7), Texas (June 14) and Oklahoma (June 21) are scheduled to host him for official visits in June. Kentucky may do that smart thing and wait until the fall if he is targeting a later decision.
