Gillingham have completed the signing of Jack Nolan from Accrington Stanley. The 23-year-old forward joins the club after an impressive season, scoring 17 goals in 53 appearances.
Nolan began his career in Reading’s academy before making his professional debut for Walsall in January 2020 against Crawley.
He played 12 more games for Walsall in the 2020/21 season before moving to Accrington Stanley in the summer of 2021.
Over nearly three years at the Wham Stadium, Nolan made 80 appearances and scored 18 goals across all competitions.
Internationally, Nolan has been capped four times by England U21, scoring once against Germany.
Upon signing his contract with Gillingham, Nolan expressed his excitement: “I am absolutely delighted and am looking forward now to the start of pre-season. When I spoke to the Manager I felt wanted and once I’d had the conversation my mind was made up really. I will give the best for Gillingham, and my teammates.”
Manager Mark Bonner also shared his thoughts on the new signing: “Jack joins following an excellent season and at an age and stage of his career where he has accumulated good experience but, vitally, has lots more to come. It’s his potential that excites me and gives us all a challenge to get the best out of him.
“He’s determined to continue performing at a high level and will add quality to us in a wide area. Jack has outstanding delivery from crosses and set plays, is coming off the back of a season full of goals and assists, and will fit well into our team.”
