According to manager Enzo Maresca, Leicester City midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall was burdened with the responsibility of relegation at the start of this season.
Dewsbury-Hall was a member of the club that was relegated from the Premier League last season, and he carried a lot of responsibility as an academy graduate.
Maresca observed this and stated that the midfielder has “improved a lot” since the season’s first international break. Dewsbury-Hall is Leicester’s “most improved” player this season, according to the manager.
“He was full of responsibility at first,” Maresca told Sky Sports. “But since the first international break he has improved a lot. He’s calm, fantastic with the ball, he knows when to attack and what to give the team.
“He is so dangerous near the box, and has the quality to score or assist from anywhere. He could already have had 10 or 12 assists. He is probably the most-improved for us and he’s in the perfect position.”
Dewsbury-Hall has featured in all 16 Championship games so far this season. He has scored five goals and assisted another six, while picking up four yellow cards.
