Caitlin Clark, the NCAA”s all-time scoring leader and a basketball sensation, has revealed her passion for golf, showcasing a competitive spirit that extends beyond the basketball court.
In a recent statement, Clark shared insights into her early experiences with golf, emphasizing the perseverance and dedication that fueled her improvement in the sport.
“I probably started playing golf when I was in third or fourth grade. I mean, I was terrible. I couldn”t hit it off the ground, but I loved doing anything that was competitive,” Clark explained, highlighting her early struggles with the game.

“I remember getting my first set of golf clubs for one of my birthdays when I was really young. My dad got it for me. It was an all-pink bag, all pink clubs, and my dad would always take me when we were younger,” she shared, reflecting on the support and encouragement that fueled her golfing journey.
“We”re very competitive people. We love to compete, whether it”s on the basketball court or if it”s out here. I think it just adds a fun element to golf that”s in the hole,” she stated, acknowledging the shared joy of competition with her fellow golf enthusiasts.
