Fans in shock as Stephen A Smith Shares Grim Commanders Prediction

The Washington Commanders have failed to take a leap forward this season.

The team was supposed to fare much better — especially offensively — and that hasn’t been the case thus far.

Sam Howell has shown interesting glimpses, and it’s hard to put all the blame on him.

That’s why Stephen A. Smith believes there will be some major changes next season, and they will start with the coaching staff.

The renowned pundit stated that there’s no way Ron Rivera is going to be their head coach for next season, adding that Eric Bieniemy won’t be around either (via First Take).

Smith put the team on blast for their offensive struggles, stating that it’s unacceptable to score just seven points against the New York Giants.

He also explained that Magic Johnson and Josh Harris vowed to turn the team around, and they don’t owe the current coaching staff anything.

The Commanders have dropped four of their past five games, and Bieniemy’s offensive expertise is nowhere to be found.

Howell has been sacked a whopping 40 times through the first seven games of the season, and there’s only so much he can do with that kind of offensive line.

Rivera was already on the hot seat last season before turning things around late in the year, and some thought they hired Bieniemy to take over if they got off to another slow start this year.

But judging by what we’ve seen thus far, the former Kansas City Chiefs OC has left plenty to be desired as well.
