Fans in tears as Jim Harbaugh send  potential farewell message to Wolverines

Michigan football coach is sending a final message to his team as speculation continues over whether Harbaugh will leave the school.

Michigan football coach Jim Harbaugh has fueled a great deal of speculation in recent weeks as to whether he will return to coach the team next season. Harbaugh is sending a final message to his team before the national championship game, per Action Network. It’s not certain if Harbaugh will leave after coaching the Wolverines in the national championship against Washington.

My message to my guys is play as hard as can, as fast as you can, as long as you can (and) don’t worry. And just go have at it. Let’s go let it rip,” Harbaugh said, per Action Network.

Michigan football enters the College Football Playoff final on Monday undefeated on the season at 14-0. The school made it to the final despite controversy, as Harbaugh was forced to miss games due to a suspension from the school and then later the Big Ten Conference. Michigan was the subject of an NCAA probe over whether the program stole signs from other schools. The Michigan football program parted ways with an analyst and a linebackers coach, but didn’t admit to any wrongdoing.

Harbaugh also added fuel to the fire when he announced he was hiring a new agent, Don Yee. Yee has represented some high-profile NFL players and coaches in the past, including Tom Brady. At least two NFL franchises are interested in hiring Harbaugh, with more teams possibly to come. Harbaugh coached the San Francisco 49ers to a Super Bowl appearance in 2012.

Washington went undefeated in the Pac-12 conference and enters the national championship game 14-0. Neither school has won a national championship since the 1990s. Michigan football and Washington play in the CFP final Monday at 7:30 Eastern.
