There can’t be many better things as a football fan than to see your side score within the first minute of a game.
And since the Premier League’s creation, we have seen some very early goals.
It may seem unbelievable, but all of the top ten goals were scored in less than 14 seconds from the initial kick-off.
And the names of these players will live on in top-flight history.

10. James Beattie (Chelsea vs. Southampton, 2004/05) – 13.52
The majority of the goals on this list are the result of a defensive blunder.
However, James Beattie’s goal for Southampton versus Chelsea at Stamford Bridge was an absolute screamer.
The ball was thrown to the Englishman 25 yards out immediately after the game began.
9. Kevin Nolan (Bolton vs. Blackburn, 2003/04) – 13.48 seconds
Nolan was a terrific goalscoring midfielder in his peak, and he used his instincts to put Bolton ahead at Ewood Park.
As a long ball was pinged into the Blackburn half, Kevin Davies managed to tip it into the box, and Nolan smashed a shot beyond Brad Friedel into the roof of the net.
He went on to score another goal in the Trotters’ thrilling 4-3 victory.
But, understandably, this is the goal that everyone remembers.
8. Chris Sutton (12.94 seconds) (Everton vs. Blackburn, 1994/95)
This aim is as close to route one as you can get, and it was created by the original SAS.
Blackburn fired a long ball up to the edge of Everton’s box right from the start at Goodison Park.
Chris Sutton set it up for Alan Shearer.
The striker then returned the favor by flicking the ball into the area for Sutton, who brought it down and finished off Rovers’ first and only Premier League title.
