Five dark horse All-American Candidates for the Alabama Football team in 2025

Heading into the 2024 season many aspects of the Alabama Football team will be different than the 2023 season. The coaching staff will have a new head coach in Kalen DeBoer who brings with him two new coordinators Nick Sheridan and Kane Wommack. The team will also lose five players who may end up being first-round selections in this year’s NFL Draft. The roster turnover as well as the coaching changes will allow for a few Alabama Football players to rise from relatively unknown to players who may end up in All-American conversations.

5. Tim Keenan III – Defensive Tackle

4. Jahlil Hurley – Cornerback

As Spring practice opens up the cornerback taking starting reps opposite Domani Jackson may come as a surprise to many. The redshirt Freshman Jahlil Hurley used last season as a redshirt year and has entered camp as the second corner on the depth chart. As a recruit, Hurley was the 6th-ranked cornerback in his class and the 80th-ranked player in the country as a four-star corner.

3. Kobe Prentice – Wide Receiver

While receivers Kendrick Law and Ryan Williams are garnering the most buzz heading into 2024 Kobe Prentice may be the receiver that shines the brightest in Kalen DeBoer’s offense. Prentice has served the last two seasons as the fourth receiver in the rotation with 337 yards and two touchdowns in 2022 and 314 yards with two touchdowns in 2023.

2. Jihaad Campell – Linebacker

While his fellow linebacking partner Deontae Lawson will get most of the attention in the preseason Jihaad Campbell has an opportunity to have an All-American caliber season. Campbell burst onto the scene when fellow linebackers Trezmen Marshall and Deontae Lawson suffered injuries at points during the year. Campbell finished the season with 66 tackles, half of a sack, two forced fumbles, and an interception.

1. Germie Bernard – Wide Receiver

The Alabama Football team needs more production out of the wide receiver room after lacking an 800-yard receiver for a second straight season. The position group will be the one benefitting the most from the coaching turnover with Kalen DeBoer’s high-powered offense and JaMarcus Shephard’s coaching prowess. Enter Germie Bernard a transfer entering from DeBoer’s Washington program.
