The Phoenix Suns allegedly made moves on Sunday morning that included signing former Boston Celtics big man Bol Bol and selling guard Cam Payne.
Bol has agreed to a one-year contract with Phoenix, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Bol appeared in 70 games with the Orlando Magic in 2022-23, averaging 9.1 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks while shooting 54.6% from the field.
The Miami Heat selected Bol with the 44th overall in the 2019 NBA Draft, and he was traded to the Denver Nuggets the following day. The 23-year-old never really got his career going in Denver, appearing in only 53 games over three seasons and averaging little over six minutes of playing time.
Bol and PJ Dozier were traded from Dever to Boston in January 2022. Bol never played for the Celtics since he was rehabbing from right foot surgery before being traded to the Magic.
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Suns sold Payne, along with a future second-round pick and cash, to the San Antonio Spurs in exchange for a future second-round choice.
