A important player for the New Orleans Saints sustained a season-ending injury.

Carr was visibly shaken up as he laid out on the field, and the in-arena crowd drew quiet as the team assessed the situation.

It was a huge hit and the trainer’s cart came out onto the field via Adam Schefter of ESPN.

It’s never a good sign when the cart comes out for an injured player, but Carr was able to get up and walk off the field under his own power.

It was later announced that Carr was placed in concussion protocol as well was treated for back and shoulder injuries.

This is the third time this season that the veteran has been hurt, but more concerning is this is the second time that he’s been forced to leave a game due to a concussion.

Jameis Winston replaced Carr and the former starter nearly led the team to the comeback before an offensive drive stalled out.

As of now, the Saints are awaiting updates on Carr’s condition though him starting Week 14 seems like a longshot.
