Insider has identified four teams that could pursue NBA MVP Derrick Rose in free agency.

After only 88 games with the New York Knicks in three years, it looks one-time NBA MVP Derrick Rose will be on the move again this summer, perhaps to another team in free agency.

Although Rose has struggled to remain healthy for the majority of his career, the veteran point guard has found work and has appeared for five NBA clubs so far, with a sixth perhaps on the horizon.

At this juncture in his career, Rose is likely hoping to either play off the bench for a true title contender or return to the Chicago Bulls, where he is still regarded as a hometown hero and fan favorite.

According to Steve Popper of Newsday Sports, three title-contending teams, specifically the Los Angeles Lakers, Phoenix Suns, and Boston Celtics, could chase Rose this summer via NBA Central.

Every option discussed above is viable for Rose as he enters the twilight of his career and attempts to win a trophy that has eluded him since joining the Bulls in 2008.

The Suns, who are led by Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal, will most likely be searching for a senior point guard of his quality to come in at a discount to help them win a championship.

The Lakers may also look for backcourt help, especially if Dennis Schroder or D’Angelo Russell leave.

Boston may be the most appealing choice for Rose, as he could play a significant role with the team now that Marcus Smart has been traded to the Memphis Grizzlies and Malcolm Brogdon is suffering with injuries.
