After the Baltimore Ravens defeated the Miami Dolphins in a blowout win to clinch the top seed in the AFC, veteran wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. gave a speech in the locker room to his teammates. “This is a good ass feeling man,” Beckham Jr. said following the win. “This team is the best team I’ve ever been on from the top to the bottom. We set ourselves up for success, you know what I mean, it’s got to come through The Bank. In these black and purple unis. Go through this defense, this offense is crazy man. Everything is right in front of us so let’s go ahead, keep preparing. Y’all enjoy this moment, it don’t come by every now and then, so just enjoy this moment, enjoy the night, happy new year and all of that.”
Notably, Beckham Jr. won Super Bowl LVI with the Los Angeles Rams two seasons ago over the Cincinnati Bengals. It was in that Super Bowl that the wide receiver tore his ACL, an injury that caused him to miss the entirety of the 2022 NFL season. Following his missed season, Beckham Jr. signed a one-year, $15 million contract with the Ravens. Now, he has started to produce more and more for Baltimore’s offense and is up to 35 receptions for 565 yards and three touchdowns.
The Ravens have clinched a bye for the first round of the playoffs as well as home-field advantage with one game remaining in the regular season. They will play the Pittsburgh Steelers next Sunday at home at 4:30 p.m.
