Kentucky examines NCAA Tournament upset alert Oakland’s ‘best matchup we could get’ take…

Sunday Special: Seasonal Winners.

In a game that few thought Kentucky would win, John Calipari and the Wildcats traveled to Auburn and handed the Tigers their first home loss of the season.

The win could be a turning point for the Cats, who are 23-24 and have struggled in recent weeks. Yesterday’s win against Auburn was important for several reasons.

First, this win was a key win in his NCAA Tournament rematch for the University of Kentucky, giving the Cats a well-deserved Quad 1 victory. Second, Kentucky remains in the position to compete for a top-four spot in the SEC.

Alabama ranks first in the SEC with two conference losses, while Tennessee ranks second with three. Auburn, South Carolina, Florida and Kentucky then lost four each.
In the end, the win gave Kentucky some much-needed momentum. This team and its fans needed a feel-good win, and Kentucky provided that last night.

They took on one of the toughest situations in the SEC (and the country) and played solid defense to beat the Tigers and emerge victorious.

The Cats are currently on a winning streak and have some momentum heading into a key period with road games at LSU and Mississippi State, and a game against Alabama at Rupp University to close out the month.

Let’s see if they can use last night’s performance to lift the team to the heights we know it will be.
