Leicester City have joined Crystal Palace and Brentford in pursuit of Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah, according to a report by Football Transfers.
Leicester City are being linked with a summer swoop for the attacker as they chase down promotion from the Championship.
Nketiah, 24, is facing an uncertain future at the Emirates Stadium ahead of the summer.
According to a report by Football Transfers, the Foxes are the latest club to be interested in luring him away from the Gunners.
Leicester City eye striker swoop
Leicester could see Nketiah as someone to bolster their attacking options for the next campaign.
If they are to get promoted back to the Premier League, they need to get their recruitment right to ensure they don’t have a season of struggle in the top flight.
The Foxes’ chances of landing the once-capped England international will depend on what league they are in next term.
Enzo Maresca’s side are currently battling at the top of the second tier with Leeds United and Ipswich Town and got an important 3-1 win at home to Norwich City last time out.
Nketiah played for Chelsea as a youngster before switching to Arsenal in 2015.
He has since risen up through the ranks of his current club and has made 165 appearances for them in all competitions, firing 38 goals.
The Londoner also had a loan spell away at Leeds back in 2020 and scored three goals in 17 matches for the Whites under Marcelo Bielsa.
He isn’t guaranteed regular football at Arsenal anymore and an exit later this year would be a sensible decision amid links to Leicester, Crystal Palace and Brentford.
However, the Foxes need to go up first and are back in action this weekend with a home clash against Birmingham City.
