According to Wales Online, Leeds United transfer target Joel Piroe is now poised to stay in Swansea following a new £15 million exit twist.
According to the report (30 July), the Dutchman has already stated his desire to leave Wales and is being courted by Leeds United and Southampton (Last Word On Sports, 29 July).
However, in a surprising turn of events, Piroe is anticipated to stay at the club, with his £15 million price tag proving to be a stumbling block in negotiating a deal this summer, despite the fact that his contract expires in a year.
Swansea may still accept a bid for the forward, but unless they are ready to structure a sale that pleases Piroe’s camp, a transfer away from the club now appears doubtful.
