Brahim Diaz’s future as we approach the end of the season appears to be no clearer than it was when he signed on loan three years ago.
Today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via PianetaMilan) discusses Brahim Diaz, stating that the Milan management must make a decision on the Spanish playmaker, who is expected to return to Real Madrid at the end of June.
There was a lot of chatter yesterday in Spain about an impending renewal with Real Madrid, but it has not been confirmed by the publication. Instead, Milan and Brahim’s father/agent are slated to meet in the coming days.
Paolo Maldini, Ricky Massara, and Stefano Pioli all admire him, but they also recognize that he has not been consistent, with his performances in the Champions League derbies versus Inter being particularly disappointing.
It will be crucial to understand Milan’s budget because much depends on Champions League qualification and whether the club wants to spend the €20m+ required to sign Brahim, which may not be enough.
