The star running back of the Cleveland Browns, Nick Chubb, had unfortunately suffered a season-ending injury. He sustained the injury when the Browns were playing against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Chubb has a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.
According to Pro Football Talk, the MCL and meniscus injuries that Chubb sustained in Week Two against the Steelers required surgery, as the Browns reported.

His second surgery to repair his ACL will take place in the upcoming months, according to the team.
According to the Browns, team doctor Dr. James Voos performed surgery on Chubb on Friday to treat damage to his left medial capsule, meniscus, and medial collateral ligament. Now Chubb will also require another surgery to repair his ACL.
According to the Cleveland Browns, the stated statement is, “Browns running back Nick Chubb underwent successful knee surgery yesterday to repair ligament damage sustained in the September 18th game against the Steelers in Pittsburgh. Team Head Physician James Voos, MD, performed the surgery at University Hospital’s Drusinsky Sports Medicine Institute. Yesterday’s surgery repaired damage to his medial capsule, meniscus, and medial collateral ligament. As expected, a second surgery will be scheduled to repair his anterior cruciate ligament in the coming months. Estimated recovery time from the surgeries indicate that Nick would be able to return to play at some point in the 2024 season.”
However, sadly, Chubb is no stranger to injuries. The same knee that sustained the injury also suffered a ligament tear in 2015.

Chubb was hurt after Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick delivered a direct blow to the side of his knee. Chubb, one of Cleveland’s most admired players, was carried tearfully off the pitch.
Chubb’s absence is a major setback for the Browns, who predominantly rely on him.
