Last week I went 8-7-1 with my NFL picks and had a 9-7 line. But when you consider that the week wasn’t really that hard, I don’t feel so good. Here’s why I know this: Thanks to my colleague Dave Richard, our CBSSports.com Expert Picks contributor, for going 14-1-1 ATS. It just goes to show that it hasn’t been a tough week. Is that right Dave?
Seriously, I needed a week like this. I am currently 88-85-7 ATS and 108-72 on the season.
We are about to enter December. That’s when the contest appears. This is also a good time to have a good week both ATS and win over .500. Seattle Seahawks vs. Dallas Cowboys (-9)
When it comes to the playoffs, this is a big game for these teams. The Cowboys are now advancing and the Seahawks are falling. The Cowboys have dominated at home and there’s no reason to believe that won’t continue here. Dak Prescott continues his hot streak. The Cowboys are big.
Pick: Cowboys 31, Seahawks 20 (Score: Cowboys 41, Seahawks 35)
Los Angeles Chargers (-6) vs. New England Patriots
Sunday at 1 p.m. ET (CBS, Paramount+)
It’s been a long road for an underachieving Chargers team. But the Patriots fared even worse. At least the Chargers have a capable quarterback. Even the Chargers’ weak pass defense couldn’t wake up New England’s offense. Chargers won. Pick: Chargers 23, Patriots 10
Detroit Lions vs. New Orleans Saints (+4)
Sunday at 1pm ET (fox, fubo)
The Lions lost to the Packers at home and the Saints lost to the Falcons on the road. The protection of lions has recently become a major concern. I expect Derek Carr to play well here and help the Saints win the shootout against the Lions.
Picks: Saints 32, Lions 30
Atlanta Falcons vs. New York Jets (+2.5)
Sunday at 1pm ET (fox, fubo)
The Falcons lead the NFC South after last week’s loss to the Saints, while the Jets continue to improve. Regardless of who is playing quarterback, New York’s offense is formidable. The defense can still play at a high level, which is why this game will be close. Expect the Falcons to win, though.
Picks: Falcons 19, Jets 17
Arizona Cardinals vs. Pittsburgh Steelers (-5.5)
Sunday at 1 p.m. ET (CBS, Paramount+)
The Steelers seemed to find something on offense after their coordinator change last week, while the Cardinals fell behind on offense last week in a loss to the Rams. The Steelers defense will challenge Kyler Murray once again and he will fight. Kenny Pickett was good enough to win. Picks: Steelers 24, Cardinals 13

Sunday at 1 p.m. ET (CBS, Paramount+)
The Colts just made the playoffs, which surprised a lot of people. The Titans are 4-7, but have won all four games at home. It is important. Mike Vrabel will have the team ready for the divisional round, and Will Lewis will knock off Gardner Minshew. The Titans won.
Pick: Titans 23, Colts 20
Miami Dolphins and Washington Commander (+9.5)
Sunday at 1pm ET (fox, fubo)
The Chiefs made a coaching shakeup on the defensive staff that could help the team moving forward. This will be a real challenge for Miami’s offense. But the Dolphins didn’t have big numbers on the road. They won’t be here either. They would win, but Sam Howell would keep winning. Choices: Dolphin 26, Commander 23
Denver Broncos (+3.5) vs. Houston Texans.
Sunday at 1 p.m. ET (CBS, Paramount+)
This is a big game in terms of playoff implications. Denver has won five in a row and defense is the key to turning things around. The Texans lost a big game to the Jaguars last week, but they’ll bounce back here as C.J. Stroud took full advantage of Denver’s defense to win a close game.
