Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg in line for Tottenham start as team news v Luton Town

It has been almost two weeks since Spurs were beaten convincingly by Fulham as they fell to a 3-0 defeat at Craven Cottage against Marco Silva’s side (16 August).

It was the first time this season Postecoglou’s side have failed to score in a Premier League game and the Australian will be desperate to put that right this weekend as Spurs welcome Luton Town to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday (30 March).

A win by two or more goals would lift Spurs above Aston Villa and into the Premier League top four, and King believes that Postecoglou is set to make two changes for the crunch clash.

Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, King said: “This is a must-win game for Tottenham without a doubt, and I think they will win.

“I imagine the back four will be the same as it was against Fulham unless Micky van de Ven can return in place of Radu Dragusin.

“James Maddison will definitely play, but it is the two midfielders behind him where the issues lie I feel. Yves Bissouma and Pape Matar Sarr did not have full control against Fulham, I am not sure about them as a midfield pairing.

There is no way around it for Postecoglou or his players – this is a must-win game.

Luton have one of the worst away records in the division having won just twice on the road all season, while Spurs boast the fifth-best home record in England’s top flight this year.

If Postecoglou is going to guide Tottenham back to the UEFA Champions League during his debut season in charge of the club, these are the games that his side need to claim maximum points in.

Whatever he decides to do with his team selection, there will be no excuses for the 58-year-old come full-time if Tottenham have dropped points in this one.
