Too young to get a driver’s license, but old enough to play meaningful minutes in MLS for a club in the playoff race. Once on the field, Hall became the second-youngest player in MLS history. Is there only one young person? Freddy Adu.
“I can’t say I was nervous,” Hall told GOAL. I just couldn’t believe I was on the field. It was really surreal for me. “It took me a while to feel like I was playing the game. It was definitely one of the best feelings I’ve ever had. I hope I can maintain this feeling.”
The world is now paying attention. Clubs all over Europe are connected and the scale is large. Chelsea, Manchester City, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich… All of which involved a 15-year-old up-and-coming starlet.
For Hall, his life has completely changed over the past year, something he still can’t fathom. “I think things have changed a lot since last year,” he said. “I have never experienced school life like this. I’d never been to high school before, but much of my teenage life had been sidelined, and now all of that was taken away for good reason. It’s about my growth and my career in this field. Sports. ”
What will happen to the 15-year-old rising star in the future? GOAL interviewed Hall to discuss his career and, of course, his hopes for the future. He doesn’t remember when it happened or the real reason. When Hall was young, he didn’t have any waking moments. At some point, he really fell in love with football.
Hall played other sports as well, but at some point soccer became his one sport. And it didn’t take me long to realize that I was very good at it.
“I can’t say I was the best player ever. That came later,” Hall said. “I started training at the age of three and realized that maybe I had a chance to pursue this career. Looking at where I am now, I feel like I have a chance to go somewhere with football. To do.
As a child, Hall was inspired by the people around him. He had the usual European influences, which were only further enhanced by his Polish origin. He loved watching Manchester United, but as a child he mainly chose Manchester United because of its colors. But, like anyone with ties to Poland, the player he most admired was Robert Lewandowski.
Hall was born in Manhattan and embraced the uniqueness of New York’s soccer scene, which has always been a melting pot of cultures. He comes from a Polish background on his mother’s side, but a quick stroll around a game in New York will reveal a number of players from a variety of backgrounds.
“There were all kinds of different cultures and people,” Hall said. “Especially when I was playing for the local team, people came from all over town, and my hometown is really flourishing.
However, by the age of 12, Hall was ready to move from New York to New Jersey. He joined the Red Bulls in 2020 and quickly proved himself at one of MLS’s top academies.
