Amad Diallo is a wanted man at the moment, even though he hasn’t had a real opportunity to impress at Manchester United this season due to his injury troubles.
His season at Sunderland last term has been enough to put him in the shop window though – and it’s no surprise that teams at the top end of the Championship are taking a closer look at the Ivorian.
Football Insider reported earlier this month that both Leicester City and the Black Cats are readying offers for him ahead of the January transfer window, although it remains to be seen whether the latter are still in the frame to sign him following Tony Mowbray’s departure.
In a boost for interested teams, Man United could be willing to accept a loan offer and one of those sides is Southampton.
The Saints have lost Ross Stewart for the foreseeable future and a departure for Che Adams could potentially be on the cards in January considering his deal expires next summer.
With this in mind, Russell Martin’s side could benefit from some extra firepower, although some would argue that they may not need it considering the unbeaten run they have been on in recent months.
And Ipswich Town are the latest side to have registered an interest.
