Sean Dyche confirms two big Everton blows as four stars will definitely miss clash vs West Ham

Sean Dyche has confirmed two big Everton blows as four stars are definitely missing for the West Ham clash on Sunday.

On the pitch it has been West Ham’s worst week of the season after defeats to Aston Villa and Olympiacos.

Off the pitch it has been Everton’s worst week too following the sad passing of Toffees chairman Bill Kenwright aged 78.

David Moyes’ old club will be looking to get a positive result in honour of Kenwright while the Hammers must look to get back on track if they are serious about competing for the European spots.

Depending on results elsewhere West Ham can do just that as a victory could see them jump up to sixth in the Premier League table as we pass the quarter-way stage.

Everton find themselves in familiar territory near the bottom three again. And they are looking to avoid being separated from the pack of teams above.

But they will have to do so without a couple of star men.

Because Sean Dyche has confirmed two big Everton blows as four stars are definitely missing for the West Ham clash on Sunday.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Dyche has confirmed Everton’s club captain Seamus Coleman – who recently returned to training after a long-term injury lay-off – is not quite ready to face the Hammers.

Ashley Young is another key starter who will also definitely miss the West Ham clash after his red card against Liverpool last weekend.

Andre Gomes and Dele Alli are also “a bit away” from returning, Dyche confirmed.

Ironically West Ham have their own injury worries at full-back.

First choice right-back Vladimir Coufal missed the Olympiacos game after feeling ‘tightness’.

And starting left-back Emerson will miss the game through suspension too.

His back-ups Aaron Cresswell and Ben Johnson have also been injured recently. But both were named on the bench for the Europa League defeat in midweek.
