Tottenham Hotspur race to sign Real Madrid target…

Real Madrid are constantly on the lookout for the next big thing in football. In recent years, the club have moved away from their Galactico policy of signing well-established superstars of the game and instead focussed on bringing youngsters to the club with the potential of being amongst the best in the future.

This policy has served them quite well too. The likes of Vinicius Jr, Eduardo Camavinga, Rodrygo and Fede Valverde all arrived as teenagers and are now well-established in the first-team.

As a result, there is no reason for Real Madrid to move away from this policy. And one of the players they have been linked with in recent times is Savinho, also known as Savio.

Savinho is currently on loan at Girona from French Ligue 2 side Troyes. He has been in sparkling form this season as well and is one of the biggest reasons why his club are near the top of the La Liga table at the moment.

Unsurprisingly, that kind of form seems to have caught the eye of Real Madrid. They are not the only ones though. As reported by TEAMtalk, reports from Turkey suggest Savinho is very much in Tottenham Hotspur’s thinking.

The 19-year-old winger has been superb for Girona and is clearly ready to play at the top level. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 2 goals and provided 4 assists in 8 appearances this season till now.

It is worth pointing out that Troyes are part of the City Football Group. As a result, it is expected that the eyes of Manchester City would be on Savinho as well and that might be the club he is more likely to join rather than Tottenham Hotspur or Real Madrid, if he continues performing like this. Let’s see what the future holds.
