According to rumors in Germany, Sadio Mane is the top name on Bayern Munich’s seven-man transfer list ahead of the summer window.
Thomas Tuchel, who led Bayern to their 11th consecutive Bundesliga title on the penultimate day of the season, wants a massive makeover at the Allianz Arena after an unusually tumultuous season for the German powerhouse.
Bayern’s wingers appear to be the first to go, with Mane, Leroy Sane, and Serge Gnabry all apparently on their way out, according to German source Bild.
Right-back Bouna Sarr, goalkeeper Alexander Nubel, and central midfielder Marcel Sabitzer, who spent the season on loan at Manchester United, are also free to depart.
According to reports, Benjamin Pavard completes the seven-man list after declining to extend his contract with Bayern Munich.
The French international, who has drawn interest from Barcelona and Liverpool, is free to leave Bayern immediately if a team pays him more than £25 million (€30 million).
Despite having only signed Mane from Liverpool for £35 million last summer, the Bundesliga giants are already open to offers for the 31-year-old forward.
During his debut season, Mane only scored seven goals in 25 league games and hit Sane in the face, hurting the German international’s lip, after Bayern’s Champions League loss to Manchester City in April.
The incident highlighted the clear rift within Bayern Munich’s divided camp and occurred shortly after Tuchel’s appointment, with the club sacking former head coach Julian Nagelsmann in the weeks leading up to the Champions League quarter-final.
Meanwhile, European clubs are pursuing Lucas Hernandez and Leon Goretzka ahead of the summer transfer window, with the former on the verge of accepting a five-year deal with Ligue 1 winners Paris Saint-Germain.
Manchester United are allegedly keeping a close eye on Goretzka’s situation in Bavaria, with the German set to leave if he does not fit into Tuchel’s first-team plans.
These summer departures are intended to generate enough cash to compete with Arsenal and Manchester United for Declan Rice, who has emerged as Tuchel’s ‘dream target’ for next season.
Tuchel is thought to be looking for a more defensive-minded midfielder as well as a new striker to construct their attack around after failing to replace Robert Lewandowski last summer.
