Johnson, 29, was playing for the Nottingham Panthers against the Sheffield Steelers in England on Oct. 28 when his neck was cut by a skate blade.

A guy has been arrested on “suspicion of manslaughter” in the on-ice death of Adam Johnson, whose neck was severed by an opposing player’s skate blade during a professional hockey game in England.

Johnson, who was from Minnesota and played for the Nottingham Panthers, died on Oct. 28 after suffering a neck injury during a game against the Sheffield Steelers.

Johnson, who was from Minnesota and played for the Nottingham Panthers in the Elite Ice Hockey League, was pronounced dead at a hospital on Oct. 28 after suffering a neck injury during a game against the Sheffield Steelers. He was 29 years old at the time.
