Brighton have confirmed that promising young defender Jack Hinshelwood has penned a new contract at the AMEX Stadium after a strong season to date.
The 18-year-old came through the south coast club’s academy and has made 18 appearances for the first team so far this season, contributing three goals in the process.
Now, he is set to stay, with the club having agreed a new deal with the teen which will keep him at the AMEX until 2028
Roberto De Zerbi explained to the club’s in house media: “I am very happy for Jack and for his family, he has shown what a top player he is and he deserves this new contract. We miss him a lot and are look forward to having him back fit and ready to play.”
Hinshelwood, who has played at full back and in midfield for De Zerbi, is expected to become a more regular part of the Brighton XI going forwards, with plenty of high hopes surrounding the teenager.
