What a war game this afternoon: Detroit Lions vs. Chicago Bears having….

DETROIT — The Detroit Lions (7-2) are back home for two division games in a hurry, with the Chicago Bears (3-7) first up in Week 11 action from Ford Field.

We’ll answer three burning questions ahead of kickoff in this post.

Say what you will about Justin Fields the passer, that’s fair game. But the Lions and their defense know better than most about the problems the dynamic third-year quarterback presents.

Fields ran for 279 yards and two touchdowns across two games against the Lions last season. He put the Bears on his back in the first meeting between these two teams but then got blown out down the stretch back in Detroit.

Still, mobile quarterbacks have remained a thorn in this group’s side for the last couple of seasons. And while Fields isn’t Lamar Jackson or Justin Herbert, he brings another challenge in terms of size and speed outside of the pocket.

Fields is going to have to shake off the rust this weekend. He’s missed the previous four games after dislocating his thumb, returning to practice last week.

“I think they would like to throw it more than they have is the best way to say it, but we’re planning on getting a lot of what we got last year,” head coach Dan Campbell said. “Particularly the first game (back), use him more as a weapon. That’s the way we see it. But yes, they are, but the guy’s too dangerous.”
