Williams, a first-round pick out of Tennessee in 2019, has spent four seasons with the Celtics. Last season, he averaged 8.1 points, 4.6 rebounds, and shot 39.5% from 3-point range in 79 games (23 starts).

Williams, 24, has averaged 6.2 points and 3.4 rebounds in 288 games (58 starts) in his career.

He had surgery on his left hand last month and is expected to be OK before training camp begins.

Williams is the second significant player moved by Boston this summer. The franchise earlier traded guard Marcus Smart, the 2021-22 NBA Defensive Player of the Year, to the Memphis Grizzlies.

Teams can’t officially sign free agents or make transactions until Thursday.

Bullock, 32, has spent the last two seasons of his ten-year NBA career with the Dallas Mavericks. Last season, he averaged 7.2 points and 3.6 rebounds in 78 games (55 starts).

Bullock made 151 3-pointers last season, which was second in his career only to the 163 he made for the New York Knicks in 2020-21. He has 852 career three-pointers in 512 games (294 starts) with six different teams.
