Deal agreed as West Ham submit bid to sign Liverpool starlet this summer

West Ham United have made a loan offer to Liverpool for Fabio Carvalho, as Jurgen Klopp mulls on what to do with the uneasy star.

While the 20-year-old has shown flashes of quality, his debut season at Anfield has not been easy.

The midfielder only appeared in four Premier League games and struggled to establish himself as a regular starter.

Several clubs have showed interest in the attacking midfielder, and West Ham has now made a move for him.

Carvalho is said to be dissatisfied with his current status at Anfield and is considering his alternatives for next season.

According to Football Insider, the Hammers have made a loan offer for Carvalho for the rest of the season.

Liverpool have still to decide whether to authorize a loan agreement or sell him permanently with a buy-back option this summer.

RB Leipzig have already lodged a £10 million bid and may be willing to go higher to sign him this summer.

Klopp has conceded that Carvalho’s first season has been difficult as he hunts for the ideal solution.

“To be honest, no player has impressed me more than Fabio. It was okay in the beginning but didn’t work out in the end since this kind of really gifted youngster arrived here with huge goals and large expectations.

“His work ethic will propel him to success.” He practiced while receiving nothing. For players, there is just one present each week: you line me up, if not, take me into the squad. That is my sole opportunity to please a player.

“If I don’t do that, it’s about how the player reacts – and I’ve never seen so many of his reactions in a row before.” Unbelievable. I’m not sure if he goes on loan or if we keep him, but we’ll see.”

Klopp definitely sees Carvalho’s potential, but he may believe he isn’t yet ready for a regular starting berth.

With the signing of Alexis Mac Allister this summer, Carvalho’s prospects of making the team look much thinner.

A loan move to West Ham might benefit all parties, however Liverpool could yet be enticed by RB Leipzig’s offer.
