Declan Rice has been voted the Knees up Mother Brown Player of the Year for the 2022/23 season, while the Europa Conference League triumph dominated the 26th annual KUMB Awards.

Rice, who won his third Player of the Year award, defeated runner-up Jarrod Bowen and third-placed Lucas Paqueta, who combined to score the game-winning goal against Fiorentina.
In the remaining categories, Divin Mubama was named Young Player of the Year having collected 81% of your votes, while Brazilian midfielder Paqueta picked up his first and second ever KUMB Awards by winning the Most Improved Player and Best Signingawards.
Craig Dawson, who won the Conference League after competing in earlier rounds before joining Wolves, was named your Most Missed Player – a category dedicated to players who left the club in the previous 12 months – while the Conference League Final win against Fiorentina was named your Most Memorable Match.
Keeping with the theme, Jarrod Bowen won the Goal of the Season title for his 90th minute winner in Prague, beating out Declan Rice’s solo effort against Gent and Pablo Fornals’ Conference League semi-final winner in Alkmaar.
For the second season in a row, our readers chose Paul Walker as Best KUMB Writer, while the Hackett of the Year award, named after 1991 FA Cup semi-final referee Keith Hackett, went to the person who injured Fiorentina captain Cristiano Biraghi during the UECL final in Prague.
