Who is Jon Dadi Bodvarsson? Wrexham’s new striker signing profiled after leaving Bolton Wanderers

Wrexham have suffered a couple of injury blows in attack and Phil Parkinson has now added a new forward to his options.

Phil Parkinson was delighted to see Paul Mullin open his League One account for the season at Rotherham United last weekend.

That, along with Modou Faal winning Man of the Match in the EFL Trophy, is about as good as the news has got in attack for Wrexham lately.

Mullin started at Rotherham United as Jack Marriott is facing four months on the sidelines and Steven Fletcher is now joining him.

Wrexham don’t want to just rely on Mullin, Faal and Ollie Palmer for the coming months, so Parkinson has turned to free agents.

Wrexham have now secured the signing of Icelandic striker Jon Dadi Bodvarsson on a free transfer, bolstering Parkinson’s numbers in attack.
