Wrexham secured a major transfer for Dan Scarr during the 2024 summer transfer window.
Wrexham managed to pry Dan Scarr away from Championship outfit Plymouth Argyle earlier this year.
The centre-back played a key role in Plymouth staying in the second tier beyond the 2023/24 season so his addition at the Racecourse Ground was a big boost for Phil Parkinson’s side.
However, in the early stages of 2024/25, Wrexham fans are still really yet to see too much of the centre-back.
Scarr made his first league Wrexham start versus Stevenage earlier this week and though the Red Dragons lost 1-0, the stopper still looked sharp.
The 29-year-old came into the starting line-up after Max Cleworth suffered an injury vs Leyton Orient last weekend.
With Cleworth expected to once again miss out this weekend, Scarr is likely to start against Northampton Town on Saturday, October 5th, in a 3pm BST kick-off.
Dan Scarr on Wrexham fans and message to Phil Parkinson
Wrexham were away from home on Tuesday evening, meaning Scarr is yet to start a league game in front of his new home fans.
However, the Northampton Town meeting will take place in Wales and Scarr is seemingly keen to get out in front of the Wrexham faithful for the first time in League One.
As per Leader Live, Scarr has now opened up on the Wrexham atmosphere he has experienced when on the bench at the Racecourse while also sending a clear message to Parkinson, stating ‘it would be nice’ to start a game in front of the home fans.
He said: “The atmosphere has been great every time I’ve been on the bench.
“It would be nice to get a start and play in front of the home fans. I am sure we will have a good chance to put it right.”
What Dan Scarr said ahead of Wrexham vs Northampton Town
Wrexham host Northampton on Saturday, aiming to get back to winning ways after a draw and defeat in their last two outings.
With Birmingham City already five points clear atop of League One, it is looking like a real must-win game for the Welsh side.
And in the same comments from Leader Live above, Scarr has also spoken about the upcoming game and Wrexham’s season so far.
He said: “We probably won some games where we maybe should have come out with a draw.
“We have done well this season so we will pick ourselves up and try and put it right on Saturday.
“It is nothing to get dis-heartened about. It is still early in the season, we have only had two losses so we go again.”
