Wrexham took on Peterborough United in a League One clash on Saturday afternoon.
The Red Dragons headed into the game having enjoyed a fantastic start to life in League One.
Phil Parkinson watched his side pick up a huge 3-2 win over Wycombe Wanderers on the opening weekend of the campaign.
This was followed by a 0-0 draw away to a promotion-chasing Bolton Wanderers on August 19th.
More recently, Wrexham hammered Reading 3-0 at the Racecourse Ground, no doubt filling them with confidence ahead of Saturday’s game.
The Welsh outfit started the day fifth in the League One table and could have ended Saturday in top spot with a win.
And it was the Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds-owned club who took the lead in Cambridgeshire after 29 minutes.
Elliott Lee played the ball to George Dobson who then laid it off in the area for Jack Marriott. The striker’s shot deflected into the net off an opposition defender.
