Former captain Dion Sanderson is another player that hasn’t played for a few weeks and is out with an injury.

It was described as ‘nothing serious’ by manager Phil Parkinson, but Wrexham will hope they have one of their key players available. George Dobson was absent against Salford City because of a dead leg, and will be assessed closer to kick off.

Wrexham following their summer transfer business have two places left in their squad and will assess the fitness of Anthony Forde. Forde was not named in their squad list, but did play 68 minutes in midweek in the EFL Trophy.

“It’s the next league game coming up, we’ve got an extra couple of days to prepare for it, which I think is good for us because we’ve got one or two knocks,” said Parkinson to the official YouTube channel.

“Dobbo had a dead leg which meant he needed to be rested tonight, Elliot’s got a slight problem, so there’s three or four things where those extra two days, we’ll get a huge benefit from that and yeah, I don’t think the game needs any building up.

Out: Anthony Forde. Doubt: Andy Cannon, Gorge Dobsson, and Elliot Lee.
