Birmingham City host Wrexham in front of a sold out St. Andrew’s @ Knighthead Park in the EFL League One on Monday, September 16 at 8.00 pm.
The two sides meet for the first time in almost 18 years. A 4-1 win for Birmingham in the Carabao Cup in September 2006 was the last meeting between the two sides.
Both are now pushing to win promotion to the Championship, and are considered two of the favourites to battle it out for the three promotion spots this term. Wrexham are top of the league standings, whilst Birmingham are in fourth.
Blues last played on Tuesday, September 3, as their game against Exeter City was called off because of international call-ups. Wrexham played on and beat comfortably beat Shrewsbury Town, before hosting and beating Salford City in the EFL Trophy on Tuesday.
