Mullin joined the TWS Sports Podcast to answer some light-hearted questions about his Wrexham colleagues. The 29-year-old was asked who would be the last to buy a round at the bar and which team-mate would back him up in a fight. He was also asked who makes the most mistakes during filming of the Welcome to Wrexham documentary, and instead of naming a player, he named his manager, Phil Parkinson.
WHAT MULLIN SAID
“I’d probably say the gaffer. He says a lot of swear words, but that’s probably to motivate us,” Mullin replied. “Apart from that, I don’t pay much attention to [the cameras].”

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Mullin would be wise to speak well of Parkinson, given he’s in charge of his game time. The forward, who had spinal surgery in the summer, made his first start of the season in Tuesday’s 2-1 win against Salford City in the EFL Trophy, and Parkinson admitted after the match that he is close to starting in the league.

WHAT NEXT FOR WREXHAM?
Mullin will have to usurp the impressive Jack Marriott and Ollie Palmer, who have five goals between them this season, in the starting line-up. However, his goal tally since joining the Red Dragons in 2021 suggests he’ll seize his opportunity when it comes his way. That opportunity may arise when table-topping Wrexham face Birmingham on Monday.
