‘He will punish you’: Darren Ferguson praises one Wrexham player after Peterborough United display

Wrexham picked up another big win on Saturday afternoon, beating Peterborough United 2-0 as Phil Parkinson’s wrong start to the season continues.

Saturday’s trip to the Weston Homes Stadium saw Wrexham come up against a club hero in Darren Ferguson.

Peterborough United boss Ferguson was a Wrexham favourite in his playing days, becoming a real midfield maestro long, long before Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds arrived at the club.

This new era at the STōK Cae Ras has been so exciting but club legends like Ferguson should not be forgotten.

Saturday was all about business though; no room for sentiment as Wrexham picked up another League One victory.

Jack Marriott and Max Cleworth were on the scoresheet for Wrexham, going 2-0 up by half-time before seeing the game out in style.

That is now three wins from in League One for Wrexham, claiming 10 points from a possible 12 in a fine start to the campaign.

This has been an incredible start to the season with Wrexham not only winning at home, but even taking points on the road at established League One clubs such as Bolton Wanderers and Peterborough United.
