Actress Kaitlin Olson has shared her least favourite part of the filming process for the popular docuseries ‘Welcome To Wrexham’, confessing that being “milked on camera” alongside hubby Rob McElhenney was not to her liking.

The dynamic duo took charge at Wrexham AFC, with co-owner Ryan Reynolds back in 2021 and have been on a fairytale journey ever since. With two promotions under their belt, the Red Dragons have captured the hearts of fans worldwide, boosted by their ties to Tinseltown.

Their compelling story has been largely unfolded by “Welcome to Wrexham”, the acclaimed docuseries now in its third season. Giving viewers a glimpse into the club’s meteoric rise, critical acclaim, and even renewed by FX for yet another season, it’s become a global cult favourite.

Now Olson is opening up about how she feels regarding the whole endeavour – and it’s mostly pride in McElhenney’s visionary approach for the show’s success. Still, she didn’t shy away from highlighting the inconveniences associated with shooting the series, like having cameras in their personal space.

Speaking warmly to Variety, Olson expressed admiration for McElhenney’s ability to capture the essence of the show. “I was just so proud of him for seeing this idea and the complexity of what the show was really going to be about,” she said.

“He wanted to make an incredible documentary about a small town that rallies around their sport, because that’s the thing that unites them.”

“I always thought it was such an incredible idea. I hate when we’re miked and on camera. I don’t mind an interview, but trying to block out the cameras and have a normal conversation is the thing I find that very challenging. But I’m rarely in that position anymore. They’re not at our house anymore!”Kaitlin Olson, who is married to Rob McElhenney, has revealed what she does not enjoy about the filming of the Wrexham documentary
