Everton set to battle with Wolves to sign $30.9m Justin Njinmah this summer

Everton have been named as one of many clubs from the Premier League and beyond to be interested in signing Justin Njinmah from Werder Bremen, according to Kicker.

The German magazine reported on 1 May that Everton are one of many sides interested in signing Njinmah, 23, this summer.

It is understood that the German forward is also on the radar of Wolverhampton Wanderers, Villarreal and various other Bundesliga teams.

Should Everton sign Justin Njinmah?

Njinmah has only managed to make 10 starts this season and come off the bench in a further 14 while being out since mid-March [FotMob].

There is no doubt that the T

offees are in need of forward options who can score and create goals on a consistent basis.

Abdoulaye Doucoure and Dwight McNeil have the most goals and assists at the club respectively with six, this isn’t ideal for a side striving to move forward.

Despite a lack of minutes, just 1,012, the German has scored six goals of his own while adding an additional two assists.

The 23-year-old is a very attacking force who likes to get on the ball and dribble with it in order to forge a goalscoring opportunity for himself. According to Kicker, he is the fastest player in the Bremen squad and the 14th fastest in the whole of the Bundesliga as he’s capable of hitting speeds of 35kmph, which is roughly 22mph.

This sees his defensive contribution lack at times which may frustrate Dyche but also poses the chance of improvement at Goodison Park.

With Yousef Chermiti already being a developmental forward, the need for another in Njinmah seems unnecessary.
