Fans in tears as Key Everton star absent from training ahead of Luton Town clash

James Tarkowski was absent from training on Wednesday due to his partner expecting the birth of their child but is expected to be available for Friday’s game. Meanwhile, Lewis Dobbin returned to action for Everton Under-21s on Monday, playing 65 minutes for the young Blues after recovering from an ankle injury.

Everton will be aiming to make it four wins on the bounce when they come up against relegation-threatened Luton Town on Friday evening. The Toffees have taken nine points from their last three matches, and are currently 11 points clear of relegation with just three fixtures left to play.

For their part, Luton are desperately trying to drag Nottingham Forest back into the bottom three, and are just one point behind Nuno Espirito Santo’s side at the time of writing. Rob Edwards’ men have lost four out of their past five top flight games, and are in desperate need of a solid run of form between now and the end of the campaign.

He has since returned to Goodison to make his first appearances since 2022 and has taken to it like a duck to water.
