Ipswich Town: Huddersfield issue ticket warning and why.

Huddersfield Town have warned their supporters there will be sanctions if they sell their away tickets for Saturday’s game at Portman Road to Ipswich Town fans.

Portman Road will be packed to its near 30,000 capacity on Saturday.

Ipswich go into the final weekend of the regular season knowing that a point will be enough to secure back-to-back automatic promotions into the Premier League.

Huddersfield, meanwhile, are effectively relegated due to being three points adrift and having a vastly inferior goal difference to Plymouth.

There’s a huge demand to be inside Portman Road for a potential promotion party, with Huddersfield – who were given an away allocation of 2,002 seats in the Cobbold Stand – releasing the following statement.

t reads: “We have become aware that home supporters may be approaching Town fans to help acquire seats in the away allocation at Portman Road.

“In these instances, tickets will be cancelled with no refund issued, and further action may be taken. Thank you for your co-operation.”We have become aware that home supporters may be approaching Town fans to help acquire seats in the away allocation at Portman Road.
