Dropping down into the Championship, it was clear that Leeds’ young attackers were going to be vital to how Daniel Farke built a side worthy of promotion.
Georginio Rutter has been integral to that, having settled into life at Elland Road after his £36million move from Hoffenheim, previously struggling for any opportunities while the side was still in the top flight.
As a forward, Rutter is on the pitch to be involved in goals, and while he has been more a provider than the finisher in this side, how he takes chances has been a weak point.

Topping the list are Morgan Whittaker, Jon Rowe, and Gabriel Sara, all three of which have been seriously impressive in scoring a variety of goals, including from distance – hence their xG over-performance, scoring more than their shots would be expected to go in.
Meanwhile, Rutter’s quality of chances this season outline that he should have scored around six more goals than he currently does.

Based off this stat alone, you’d be worried that Rutter is having a poor season, but it’s quite the opposite for the Frenchman.
Farke has moulded the young forward into his chief creative presence in the league this season, one of the best providers in the division with assists coming regularly and an ability to get fans off their seats out of nowhere.
